			<description>Nick Irving, sent me an e-mail on Sunday in which he mentioned that Paul Duncan had been flown down to Glasgow for emergency surgery on an aneurism in his stomach, I then contacted Lorraine to find out what was happening and she said that Paul had major surgery to place a stent in position in his stomach but that then there had been some complications and he also required a stent in the artery in his leg. He is now at home with Lorraine and it will be a lengthy recovery.

Pte William Nicholson served with Lt Col Francis Holmes Company 2nd Battalion 3rd Regiment Foot Guards (Now the Scots Guards)at the defence of Heugemount Farm on this day. He was woulnded in the left shoulder and as a result was discharged on 24 Dec 1815 as being unfit for further service (Merry Christmas) He was my Great, Great, Great Grandfather.

			<description><![CDATA[Just found this site and thought I would join up and say Hi.  I joined 3 PARA in 1975 and was posted to A Coy, followed by D &amp; HQ Coys.  I finally left in 84 from the Int sect.  I then joined Thames Valley Police and did 23 years before retiring last year.  Hopefully someone out there will remember me.

Tried for the life of me to remember (John Hill and Brian Britton were no help). 			<description>   True tale,honest.Couple of weeks ago shopping in local supermarket,which shall remain nameless,went to deli/hot food counter.served by a mature lady who was no stranger to a large portion of chips.

Ordered two chicken drumsticks,plain,and 2bbq flavoured drumsticks,[that must have made their eyes water!] Pension does not go far!

To make life easier I asked her to  put all 4 in the same bag.

The majority of the blokes went to 2 Para and were posted to Cyprus however some of us were really lucky and went across the road to 3 Para at Corunna Bks.
