My father past away last year, he was 85. I managed to get him to write a book about his war years. He was at Varaville and helped destroy a bridge there. I was wondering if anyone may know him. His name was Stuart Roy Arnold, I believe he was a Sapper and then a Lance Corporal.

I believe that action at Varaville was carried out by the 1st Canadian Parachute Battalion not 3 Para,you can read about it in the link below,thats not to say that they didn't have some british Engineers attached to them though, but i am unable to confirm that.
