HOW ABOUT A BOOKING LIST ON THE FORUM FOR THE REUNION ? Empty HOW ABOUT A BOOKING LIST ON THE FORUM FOR THE REUNION ?

Question
Gents, seems to be a bit of consternation about no tickets for the reunion.
Can understand this, i think we do need to tighten up the arragements a mite just to alm off for any last minute hicups that could ensue.
OK i've posted my cheque off.How do i know its been arrived safely and been cashed in the right account? More Tea Leafs working for the Post Office than Ali Baba and the Forty Theives.
If its not how can i put this right in time to make sure i still get a place on the night.
We were advised that ticket space is going to be limited, nothing suprising there.no way are we going to be able to accommodate in comfort the same numbers that attended last year in the Mess facilites at Colchester. At what stage is the plug going to be pulled on any more bookings and how are we going to know about it in advance?
I would'nt be best pleased, if after having to grease the palm of one of my work colleagues to provide cover for me on the Saturday, then paying for a couple of tankfulls of fuel and worse still forking out for what is some of the crappest Hotel or Inn rooms that Colchester provides to be told at the Guardroom gate "sorry your not on the list". Standbye for a mega wobbler being thrown.
I suspect that there are quite a few members who like me who work shifts/weekends may still might be trying to get time off work
nearer to the reunion date, once again they need confirmation that cheques/monies have been recieved and that a place has been booked.
OK thats just a couple of problems raised - how about a solution? Why not put on the forum a confirmed booking list, updated at least every fortnight of members booked in? At least that will stop the uncertainty and a lot of mithering emails being sent to the tresurer and any last minute "Teddies" being thrown out of the window.
If costings is an issue for the tickets then raise then raise the matter at the AGM,do we need to raise the subscription by a few squid?
Back to the Brandy bottle - regards

Just assumed we would be informed only if we didn't get a place. Reluctant to criticise as I think it's a thankless job! Agree with Paul though on sorry state of accommodation in the town for those of us bringing "partners."
