D (Ptl) Coy

I'm after a favour. I'm ex C (Ptl) Coy, 2 Para. In 1968 we had 3 SNCO's and an officer attached to us from D (Ptl) Coy for trng whilst at JWS in Malaya. The officer was Pete Thursman (RIP). Having a chat this evening with an old mate also from Ptl Coy 2 Para we and we got to talking about one of the 3 Para SNCO's by name of Sid (?) who had helped out a couple of the guys who were short of funds to get downtown to JB. You know what it's like when you can't remember bloody names; drives you potty and then you start worrying about whether or not it's Alzheimers or hopefully just the drink! For the life of us we couldn't remember Sids surname. Any takers out there. If this photo goes up (yeah, right!) then he is 2nd from the left, Pete Thursman is sitting 4th from the left, front. At the end of the 2 months all 4 of the 3 Para guys put in for transfers to 2 Para but the powers that be weren't having it. Pete eventually did get to be in 2 Para unfortunately and he died at Warrenpoint. Many thanks for any help, Danny
